Frank Chivas
President
Frank Chivas is the owner of Baystar Restaurant Group which is the parent company of 10 Tampa Bay Area Restaurants, including Salt Rock Grill and Island Way Grill, to name a few. Chivas is also known for being a philanthropist for non-profits such as the Chi Chi Rodriguez Academy, Clearwater Community Sailing Center, Boys & Girls Club, Clearwater 4 Youth, UPARC and Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Chivas also founded the Clearwater Super Boat Races, which is now known as the Clearwater Offshore Nationals. Chivas' focus has been to grow the Tampa Bay Area into a tourist destination by hosting events as well as donating time and funds locally. Chivas has received many accolades for his philanthropic endeavors such as the “Frank T. Hurley Tourism Person of the Year,” The Clearwater Chamber of Commerce "Mr. Clearwater," The Arc Tampa Bay Foundation “Dr. William E. Hale Champion of Hope,” The Clearwater Marine Aquarium “Positive Impact Award, ” and The Tampa Bay Lighting "Community Hero," to name several.
Fairlie Brinkley
Chairman of the Board
Fairlie Brinkley began sailing when he was eight years old in an Optimist Pram designed by the legendary Clearwater boat builder Clark Mills and he is still sailing today, more than six decades later. His race management assignments include serving as the Principal Race Officer for multiple National, Continental and International Championships over the last twenty years including the Windsurfer Youth Worlds and the Nacra 17 World Championship, both hosted by Sail Life. An experienced leader, Fairlie is a Past Commodore and Outstanding Member of the Year of the Dunedin Boat Club, Past Commodore and Yachtsman of the Year at the Clearwater Yacht Club and a Past President of the Dunedin Youth Sailing Association, Inc. He currently serves as a Director and Treasurer of the Dunedin Community Sailing Foundation, Inc. and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Clearwater Youth Competitive Sailing Association, Inc
Haley Cameron
Operations
Haley Cameron is the Marketing Director for Baystar Restuarant Group and works directly under the President, Frank Chivas. Cameron also manages the digital marketing, print media campaigns, human resources, sponsorship marketing, event host relations, business administration, and logistics for the Sail Life Clearwater organization. Cameron collaborates with her world class management team to execute ideas and strategy years prior to major events, demanding the best possible platform is in place to support the athletes and fans. Cameron works with the shore crews, live media outlets, and event competitors to create safe and engaging action on and off the water that touch a global audience. Over the past few years, Cameron has organized and managed Clearwater Super Boat races, now known as the Clearwater Offshore Nationals. Cameron was born and raised in Clearwater and is also a proud Florida State University alumni.
